The Jadar Project

In 2004, Rio Tinto geologists discovered Jadarite, a new mineral containing lithium and boron. Jadarite, named after the Jadar River, is located near the city of Loznica in Western Serbia. The Jadar deposit is a world-class resource that could potentially provide the foundation of a new electric vehicle supply chain in Serbia.

Notification about planned field activities on maintenance of forest land parcels owned by the company

On October 9 and 10, 2025, Rio Sava Exploration d.o.o. is conducting forest resources assessment activities on land parcels in its ownership and registered as forest land, as part of the process of developing a Forest Management Plan.

These activities are a legal obligation for all private forest owners in the Republic of Serbia, Rio Sava included, and in line with all valid forest-management-related regulations in the Republic of Serbia.

Works include only tree marking by experts, and do not envisage tree cutting, use of equipment or machinery, or any kind of activities with a possible negative impact on environment, or forest resources.

All activities are implemented in compliance with the laws of the Republic of Serbia, and fully in line with the principles of responsible and sustainable forest management.
